Forming machines are the machines we have been manufacturing since 1980. Over the past 45 years, we have refined our methods and precision, gaining solid experience in carton handling.

These machines transform flat blanks, made of either solid board or corrugated cardboard, into boxes with lids or trays, in either rectangular or tapered shapes. Forming can be carried out using hot-melt glue, cold glue, hooks, or interlocking systems.

The formed boxes and trays are deposited onto an outfeed conveyor. For trays, a stacking system can be integrated upon request.

The machines are custom-designed according to the required formats and speeds. Production speed varies with format size and the number of heads, up to a maximum of 60 cycles per minute per head.

The forming machines can be integrated with loading units, closing machines, or lid applicators, providing a complete line.

Bakery & Biscuits

Solid board boxes for biscuits and bakery products already packed in flowpacks or bags, sized according to the customer’s full range of references. The cycle is completed with a loading unit for top loading and a closing machine for final sealing.

Chocolate & Confectionary

Boxes and trays for chocolate and confectionery products, with interlocking or gluing closure systems. Suitable for both functional packaging and presentations with high aesthetic requirements and with special finishes.

Frozen Food

Boxes for frozen products already packed in flowpacks or trays, with glue, hook or interlocking closures. The machine structure can be configured for environments with specific hygiene requirements.

Personal & Home Care

Packaging for detergents, candles, and cosmetic products made of board with lacquered or laminated finishes. Different applications and packaging solutions are possible.

Non-Food / Cartotecniche

Carton converters choose Vimco forming machines for internal use to produce special trays and boxes for third parties or for their own product range. The ability to manage a wide range of formats with multiple forming heads makes them suitable for production environments with frequent changeovers.
